  1. @Italianslugger i think we need an actual crosser of the ball on the wings. When was the last time we ever had a winger who could actually cross? In the last 5 years the closest someone has been to being a good crosser of the ball is Harry Kewel and he wasn’t very good. Plus.. i’d hate to see LW: Johnson RW: Johnson on fifa12 ! 😀

  2. @Mynamesnigel Yea, I would love to see Bentley and Adam Johnson as well. I think GJ would be better than all of those except for maybe Adam Johnson. Glen Johnson is one of those few players that can beat people on the dribble at will. It just makes all the sense in the world to move him up the pitch.

  3. @Italianslugger yeah hes a quality player going forward. I’d like to see it too just to see how he’d play. But I really would prefer to see 2 wingers come in out of these: Honda, Young, Adam Johnson, David Bentley and even Lee from Bolton for a cheap ‘width’ player.

  4. @Mynamesnigel I agree. Another option, that I would try and make happen if I were manager, is to get a right back and move GJ up to right wing. He is too much of a liability as a defender. It makes no sense to have him back there. All his talent and skill is going forward, we need to take advantage of that. I think going forward, he’s probably just as good as anyone in the world as a winger. I’d even venture to say he’s just under the quality of Gareth Bale.

  5. @UFCritical He suffered ankle bone bruising I think and is doubtful for tonight’s game. That helps Roy to make a decision because he has 2 central midfield roles and 3 players he wants to fill them – Gerrard, Meireles and Lucas. That’s why he playes Meireles on the right cos he can’t possibly not select him.

  6. What injury did Meireles suffer?
If Meireles had stayed on we would never have won the game.

    That says it all!

    Why is our team a bunch of p u s s i e s without Gerrard on the pitch ? Its Pathetic!!
Best passer Gerrard, clean tackling Gerrard, best crosses, Gerrard,!!

Can any other player make an assist please?
    How about a Maxi hattrick?

We have been asleep at the far post for season after season since big Captain Sami has gone.

Come on Liverpool, 2nd gear never ever wins much!

  7. @FranticGra I think I was abit too harsh. I did actually like Insua but I did think he was full of mistakes. He was good attacking tbh and he scored a cracker vs arsenal that I will never forget 😀 10x better than Konchesky. Hes older now and more experienced. Hopefully he will come back and slot at left back nicely. Be alot better than wasting 10mil on a left back. Centre back, 2 Wingers and a Striker should be our only MAJOR targets.. we need to get them in quick and settle them!

  8. @FranticGra Haha, DVR is your friend. ; ) I think if we had Carra in for Skrtel than Bolton don’t score. Honestly, I struggle to think of any other center backs that dribble and relieve pressure as well as Agger does from the back. I hope he does as well today.

  9. @Mynamesnigel He was the unfinished article mate. I’m hoping his time abroad has cured him of his error-prone ways.

  10. @FranticGra exactly what i’d do.. excluding Insua. I never liked Insua and thought he was full of mistakes.

  11. @TheJoeyl Yeah I think Roy’s man-management skills are vastly superior to his football management skills. But nice guy or not he has to go for our sake.

  12. @jakxcombat Thanks mate but I think I’ll leave MOTD to the ‘mafia’ LOL. Here’s a scenario: United to batter us in the cup and Hodgson to be sacked and replaced until the summer by King Kenny!

  13. @lucaslimo Fair play to you. I can see the point of doing that but I don’t want NESV thinking we’re happy with Roy cos we’re not!

  14. @17Rocchi Thanks man. Hmmm ok I’ll consider doing a video but it may be unnecessary because I think Roy will go after our cup exit. Watch this space!

  15. @rhinozzo Ha ha why do you think I grow the beard?!
I thought we deserved the win, lucky or not. Cole is a good impact player but that’s all at the moment at least.

  16. @liverpoolfan4life1 Hmmm back to the 4-5-1 and no Lucas? If we’re gonna play 4-5-1 I’d have Lucas paired with Meireles and Gerrard in the hole behind Torres.

  17. @Italianslugger I hold my hands up and admit I failed to see the impact of Agger’s contribution. I will pay more attention to him tonight.

  18. @knoble430 Exactly. Tonight’s game at Blackburn and the cup game against United are very far from easy for a team as fragile as ours. One possible bright spot though is Hodgson may go following our cup exit. It happened to Souness!

  19. @SkilledChild10 It blew off in the wind mate. Don’t worry, it’s making a comeback!

  20. @b2ferrara Happy New Year mate. Your guess is as good as mine! I honestly believe NESV are courting one or two candidates right now who may not be available until the summer. With this in mind they may replace Hodgson with Kenny as caretaker manager until then, probably after our cup exit to Man United!

  21. @Mynamesnigel Our defence is definitely our weak spot. We need Agger in the centre alongside a new centre half or perhaps Wilson, Insua to return from loan on the left and Kelly on the right.
