Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper would be at the newly promoted Premier League club for the foreseeable future after he signed a new deal. Cooper has signed an extension to his Nottingham Forest contract until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Cooper was under pressure to keep his job as the Nottingham Forest manager after the 4-0 loss to hosts Leicester City in the derby according to various media reports, but the club owners have shown resounding faith in him with the contract extension. Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard watched on from the sidelines as hosts Bournemouth ran out 2-0 winners at the expense of his team. Jefferson Lerma scored the opener in the first half to give the Cherriesa slender lead at the half-time break. The win was sealed in the second half thanks to the goal from Welshman Kiefer Moore. Bournemouth were able to make a successful return to the top flight courtesy the goals from Lerma and Moore either side of the interval. 



Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard returned to the Rangers dugout for the away game at St. Johnstonein the league after Covid-19 ruled him out of the last game at home to Celtic in the Old Firm Derby. Without Steven Gerrard on the sidelines, Rangers claimed bragging rights in the Old Firm Derby thanks to the goal from Swedish national team centre back Filip Helander in the second half.
