Steven Gerrard features in 700 Match of his Club

Steven Gerrard had to feature in his 700th match for his club Liverpool the other day versus West Ham United, but, he, unfortunately, missed out as he was not match fit.

He was there at Anfield though, but, not in the player’s dug out. He was actually enjoying the game with his family and friends in one of the VIP boxes built in the spectators’ area.

According to the Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, Gerrard’s problem was not that big, but, he is too important a player to be risked considering how frequently the Reds have to play in the next couple of months. Read more “Steven Gerrard features in 700 Match of his Club”

Steven Gerrard rejects rumors about Team Bad Performance due to Manager

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard has rejected suggestions that much of the dressing room has lost faith in manager Brendan Rodgers after a poor start to the season.

It has been widely expected that Rodgers may face the sack after poor form that seems to not go away. Liverpool have managed only six wins in the Premier league this campaign, while they have already suffered more defeats than they did throughout last season – seven. After the recent 3-0 loss against Manchester United, speculation has been intense that the dressing room no longer has faith inRodgers.

This is seen as a situation from where things could only get worse. Gerrard accepts that Liverpool have not been good enough this season, but he sees that the season is yet to reach the halfway stage and that there is a lot of time for the club to recover. Liverpool were in amongst the table leaders at this stage last season. It helped them go with them a few matches of winning the title.Rodgers accepted at the start of the season that it was always going to be a transitional period, but few would have expected it to last for such a long time.

Liverpool face relegation threatened Burnley on Boxing Day. “Look, we’re still moving forward, I really believe that. I’m the first to admit it’s been tough this season, it’s been a bit of a roller-coaster. But no-one in the dressing room has lost confidence in the manager. We are all behind him, we all believe in him.We aren’t where we want to be in the table and nobody is happy about that, but we’re determined to put it right. It will take time. But I have that belief that we’ll get it right and we will get there,” said Gerrard.
