NEW HEARTBEAT

For the longest of times Steven Gerrard has been the heartbeat of Liverpool, alongside Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge they are the main driving force behind the English club. Following their latest Premier League match in which they lost 2-0 against Arsenal, Brendan Rodgers told the media about the injury Gerrard picked up.

He took a knock towards the end, with his hip. I’m not sure the complete diagnosis on it.

Stevie’s been brilliant for me, it was a tough game for him, but we’ll assess his injury and see where he’s at. Rodgers said.

Liverpool’s season is characterized by the number of injuries that their main attacking players have been suffering. They had to start the season without Luis Suarez and later the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho.

Even though Liverpool will be without Gerrard in their upcoming Premier League match against Fulham, they are favorites on claiming a victory taking into consideration the table positions and current form of each team.

Fulham are sitting in the last 4 spots of the Premier League standings while Liverpool is fighting for the top positions.

Even at his 33 years of age Steven Gerrard continues being a key player for the team he grew up in and made his debut back in 1998.

Roy Hodgson has to prepare England for the November friendlies which include facing off against Chile and Germany and he would want Gerrard to be back in form and available for his national side.

Although the absence of Gerrard can allow Hodgson to play some of England’s fringe players such as: Jack Wilshere, Tom Cleverley and Ross Barkley.
